Elevating executive thought leadership through a cohesive event campaign
Overview
Every June, Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity brings together the world's leading voices in marketing, technology, media, and innovation. More than an awards show, Cannes has become one of the industry's most influential forums for discussing the future of creativity, artificial intelligence, customer experience, and business transformation.

In 2026, AnswerLab joined that global conversation as both a sponsor and contributor. Our executive team attended the festival to participate in industry discussions, connect with partners, and share perspectives on the evolving relationship between AI and human-centered experience design.
As Lead Creative for the campaign, I was responsible for translating that presence into a cohesive visual story before, during, and after the event—extending AnswerLab's influence beyond Cannes through digital marketing, executive thought leadership, and editorial storytelling.
The Challenge
Events like Cannes generate an overwhelming volume of content. The challenge wasn't simply documenting attendance - it was ensuring AnswerLab showed up as an active voice in the industry's biggest conversations around AI, creativity, and customer experience.
Our campaign needed to:
Support executive visibility.
Reinforce AnswerLab's evolving brand.
Create consistent storytelling across channels.
Extend the life of the event beyond a single week.
My Role
My role was to led the creative direction for AnswerLab's Cannes Lions campaign across social media, editorial content, and owned digital channels.
My responsibilities included:
Art directing the visual identity of the Cannes campaign.
Developing LinkedIn creative highlighting executive participation throughout the festival.
Designing announcement graphics for Megan Mallen's appearance on the AI & Tech Sandbox stage.
Creating visual storytelling around executive reflections and key takeaways.
Producing campaign assets supporting Digital Fight Club, sponsored by our Chief Client Success Officer.
Retouching and editing event photography for editorial use.
Designing dedicated website content that extended the campaign after the event.
Ensuring every asset aligned with AnswerLab's evolving brand system.

In Real-Time, Building a Narrative
Rather than approaching Cannes as a series of isolated announcements, I developed a campaign that unfolded across multiple moments.
The visual narrative centered around three themes:
Executive Presence Positioning AnswerLab's leadership alongside industry voices shaping conversations around AI and experience.
Human-Centered AI Supporting the ideas introduced through Megan Mallen's thought leadership, emphasizing that competitive advantage comes from understanding people—not simply collecting more data.
Reflection Transforming live event coverage into editorial storytelling that continued generating engagement after the festival concluded.
Following The Event
Following Cannes, I developed creative supporting executive thought leadership, including:
Editorial imagery accompanying Megan Mallen's article "The Moat Was Never the Data."
Website content promoting AnswerLab's perspective on AI and human connection.
Social campaigns amplifying post-event reflections.
Creative assets supporting continued discussion across LinkedIn and owned media.
